Many residents enjoy the challenge of stretching their minds with creative writing, word games, quizzes, story writing, jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, current affairs, poetry or reading.
The library is a cosy area situated within the (currently being refurbished) Activities Centre, housing a variety of large print books and magazines. All material is available on loan to residents. Each resident and their guests are welcome to use this area. There are also tea and coffee facilities available in the Activities Centre.

The Mildura Library offers a free exchange and delivery service directly to resident’s rooms. This is a popular service and recommended to residents who enjoy reading. Contact the Mildura Library or Lifestyle Officers for further information.

intellectualResidents are able to participate in the technological age as well, with access to two internet kiosks where volunteers assist with writing emails, sending photos or perhaps researching something of interest.

Reminiscence is a pastime enjoyed by many as it rekindles memories and secures a feeling of self-assurance. Staff co-ordinate interactive workshops involving residents and families and gain invaluable information for lifestyle planning and family histories.

The Sunraysia Daily Newspaper is delivered daily to each unit. Residents are able to order their own newspapers and magazines. Orders can be left at reception at a small cost to the resident.

Students from local senior colleges join residents in discussions and visit frequently, this community service project has provided intergenerational communication and activities and is a staple in keeping residents connected with the community.

Aromatherapy, wheelchair walks, music, massage, beauty care, cooking and fiddle boards are sensory therapies which are offered to residents on a regular basis.

Our sensory garden, allows residents the opportunity to interact with the garden space as it grows, with areas to sit and view the wide variety of plants. This space is always active with the constant changes that a garden brings.
